Sore throats can result from both a viral or bacterial infection, catarrh, or dryness of the membranes. Usually the symptoms clear fairly quickly without treatment, although the bacterial infection known as 'strep throat' (streptococcus) can be more persistent.
Tonsillitis is an inflammation of the tonsils, the two little organs situated at the back of the throat, which can become painfully swollen from infection.
Chronic sore throats or persistent tonsillitis require constitutional Homeopathic treatment.
Sore throats has been treated by homeopathy.
Sore throats and Tonsillitis requires detailed specific prescribing of the "right" homeopathic remedy.
Trial and error or shotgun prescribing does not work, and therefore we don't recommend self-medication. In fact, self-medication will complicate the overall symptom picture.Below are only some of the remedies we may prescribe, please note how important the individual symptom picture is. Only when all symptoms, aggravation or amelioration are taken into consideration can a specific homeopathic remedy be selected.
A further consideration is given to the potency of the remedy.
