Colic can be a big problem to a small baby and is equally distressing to the anxious parents. It usually refers to a digestive upset with plenty of wind. The spasmodic pains are sharp and often sudden.

Colic has been treated by homeopathy.

Colics requires detailed specific prescribing of the "right" homeopathic remedy.

Trial and error or shotgun prescribing does not work, and therefore we don't recommend self-medication. In fact, self-medication will complicate the overall symptom picture.

Homeopathic Treatment Considerations:

Colocynthis - The baby is very bad tempered and doubles up with pain. Applying firm pressure with the palm of your hand on the baby's tummy helps. Bending or arching BACKWARDS .
Mag phos - The baby brings its knees up to the stomach to ease the pain. Warmth, for example from a hot water bottle, and gentle pressure, help to ease the pain.
